BusinessWeek Magazine Talks About Green Jobs

Many potential students ask what opportunities the Ecosa program can create. A current article in BusinessWeek magazine makes it clear. "The clean energy economy accounted for about 770,000 jobs in 2007, according to a recent study from the Pew Charitable Trusts. But job boards might soon be populated with openings for environmental engineers, construction managers, hydrologists, architects, and interior designers with green building training, as well as for directors of environmentally focused nonprofit groups."

Apply Now for Summer 2010

Ecosa programs are exciting, fun, informative, rich and integrated experiences where learning is based on the concepts underlying nature. As a framework for the Summer of Sustainable Design exploration, two projects will be designed during the semester. One project will be for the Empowerment Society, a non-profit organization working in Liberia. The second project will be in Prescott, Arizona for a proposed redevelopment zone in an industrial area that will include affordable housing. We will use both these projects to explore issues in “sustainability” and how to bring a regenerative approach to human habitats.
