The homeless can stay in a hotel room get a shower and something warm to eat. The rooms just sit unused anyway why not make it work for the greater good.... I don't have direct answers to your questions, but the architects involved with this project are on-site staff here at the Ecosa Studio. You may talk to Tom Hahn or Tony Brown here at 928-541-1002 if you would like to explore doing a similar project of your own. I believe the cost was roughly similar to conventional construction but this had solar elements and water catchment etc., integrated into the design.
